Set up your school
Do these once, in this order, before families sign up. Each one picks up where the last left off.
Find the Setup checklist, answer a few questions about your school, and see what each step is for. You don’t have to finish in one sitting.
Start your belt ladder from ready-made belts, put them in order, and add a belt with what it takes to earn it.
Add the techniques students learn at each belt, mark the ones they must know, and attach videos and handouts.
See what families pay for each program, how starter bundles and price changes work, and where family discounts and coupons live.
Add a class with its days, times, who it’s for, how many fit and who teaches it, then read your weekly schedule.
Check your Stripe connection, choose how families pay, decide which fees you pass on, and set sales tax.
Run your day
The everyday jobs at the front desk and on the mat.
Add a student and the parent who pays in one form, set who to call in an emergency, and find the family page.
Mark techniques from Mat view during class, check one student’s progress, and see who is ready to test.
Open any student’s page in two clicks with the search box at the top of every page.
Money
Memberships, taking payments, refunds, and what to do when a card is declined.
Add a membership, take the first payment at the desk, pause it, move the billing date, and cancel when a family leaves.
Charge a card, write down a cash or check payment, and give money back in full or in part.
Find who is past due, see what QuickKicks does on its own, retry, snooze or waive a payment, and ask the family for a new card.
Good to know
- The videos use a demo school. Your screens show your own school, and may look a little different.
- Captions are on. Turn them off with the CC button on the video.
