For parents: a tour of your dashboard
A walkthrough of what each section of the parent dashboard shows you, and how to use it.
Updated June 4, 2026
When you sign in to your parent portal, the dashboard is the home page. Here is what each section means.
The header
At the top, you see your name and your child's name (or a dropdown if you have multiple children at the school). Switching between kids changes what is shown on the rest of the page.
Today
The top section shows today's relevant activity:
- Your child's next class today.
- Any pending tasks (a waiver to sign, a card to update, an upcoming charge).
- A welcome message from the school if there is anything new.
Upcoming
The next section is the next 7 days:
- Classes your child is signed up for.
- Events you have registered for.
- Tuition charges that are scheduled.
Tap any of these to see more or to cancel.
Progress
A summary of your child's rank progression:
- Current rank with the belt or level icon.
- Stripes earned since their last promotion.
- Progress bar toward the next rank, based on attendance and curriculum.
Tap into this to see the full history of every stripe and promotion.
Recent activity
The bottom of the dashboard shows what has happened recently:
- Classes your child attended.
- Make-up credits issued.
- Recent payments.
- Promotions earned.
- Messages from the school.
This is a quick way to catch up on what is going on without digging through every menu.
The menu
Tap the menu icon (three lines on mobile, sidebar on desktop) for everything else:
- Schedule. Full calendar of upcoming classes, events, and parties.
- Attendance. Every class your child has attended, all-time.
- Progress. Detailed rank history and curriculum tracking.
- Billing. Charges, refunds, credits, and your card on file.
- Memberships. Which programs your child is enrolled in.
- Certificates. Downloadable promotion certificates.
- Waivers. Signed and pending waivers.
- Documents. Anything your school has shared.
- Make-up credits. What you can use to attend extra classes.
- Events. Past and upcoming events at the school.
- Notifications. All emails and SMS the school has sent you.
- Account. Your profile, password, and notification preferences.
What you cannot do here
The parent portal is for families. Some things only the school can do:
- Promote your child to the next rank. Talk to the head instructor.
- Cancel another family's membership.
- Issue a refund. Ask the school directly.
- Reset another family's password. Tell them to use the forgot-password link themselves.
Mobile app vs portal
The mobile app shows almost the same info as the portal, with a layout optimized for phones. Most families use the app daily for quick checks (today's schedule, attendance, push notifications) and use the portal in a browser for longer tasks (signing waivers, downloading certificates, reading the handbook).
Where to start
If you just signed in for the first time:
- Confirm your child's name and class on the home page.
- Update your card if prompted.
- Sign any pending waivers.
- Browse the schedule.
- Download the mobile app if you have not.
That covers the 95 percent. Everything else can wait until you need it.
