What the parent portal shows families
A tour of the parent portal: schedule, attendance, billing, progression, waivers, and more.
Updated June 4, 2026
Every family at your school gets a parent portal. They sign in at {your-slug}.getrosterra.com/portal (the URL is in the welcome email Rosterra sends them when you add them as a guardian).
What they can do without asking you
- Schedule. See their kids' upcoming classes. Cancel a class, RSVP to an event, sign up for a make-up.
- Attendance. Check their child's attendance history. Useful for parents who pay tuition and want to see they are getting value.
- Billing. Pay tuition, update their card, download receipts, see upcoming charges, redeem store credits and gift cards.
- Progression. See their child's current rank, what stripes or skills they have earned, and what is next on the path.
- Certificates. Download promotion certificates and print them.
- Waivers. Sign new waivers when you push them. The portal nudges them until the signature is in.
- Documents. Read anything you have shared with them (your school handbook, dress code, summer schedule).
- Events. Sign up for and pay for one-off events and parties.
- Notifications. Read past emails and SMS, in one place.
What they cannot do
- See other families' information.
- Edit attendance.
- Promote a student.
- Issue refunds.
- Move a class on the schedule.
Multiple kids on one login
A guardian who has two or more students at your school sees them in one portal. They switch between students from a dropdown at the top. Combined billing covers all of them on one invoice.
Mobile app vs portal
The mobile app and the portal show the same information. The mobile app is friendlier for on-the-go use (check schedule, get reminders, check in). The portal is friendlier for billing and longer-form things like signing waivers. Most families use both.
When parents email you with portal questions
Most portal questions are about login. Send them {your-slug}.getrosterra.com/portal/login and they can request a magic link if they have forgotten their password.
