Customizing your brand colors, logo, and look

Where to upload your logo, set your brand color, and make the portal and mobile app look like your school.

Updated June 4, 2026

The parent portal, the mobile app, the public signup page, the certificates, the email receipts, and the kiosk all show your school's name and color, not Rosterra's. Spend 10 minutes here and the rest of the system looks like a custom build.

Where to set things

Most branding lives at /settings/branding.

  • School name. Used on every email, certificate, and page heading.
  • Logo. Upload a transparent PNG or SVG. Two sizes: a wide one for the top of pages and a square one for the mobile app icon.
  • Primary color. Used on buttons, links, and certificate borders. Pick something that matches your school's main brand color.
  • Secondary color. Used as an accent. Often a darker or lighter shade of your primary.
  • Time zone. Used by every report and scheduled message.

Public-site appearance

If you use the public signup, enrollment, or tournament pages, more controls live at /settings/public-site.

  • Hero photo. A photo of your school at the top of the public landing.
  • About text. A short paragraph about your school.
  • Testimonials. Pull in a few parent quotes if you have them.
  • Embed code. A snippet to drop on your marketing site if you want the signup form right inside your existing website rather than as a separate page.

Certificates

Promotion certificates are auto-generated when a student is promoted. Customize the certificate template at /settings/branding/certificates. Pick:

  • The certificate background (preset templates or upload your own).
  • The signature lines (usually head instructor plus owner).
  • The seal or stamp graphic.

Email branding

Every transactional email from Rosterra uses your school's name as the sender. To replace the "from" email address with your own (instead of noreply@getrosterra.com), set up a custom sending domain at /settings/email-domain. The page walks you through DNS records you add at your domain registrar.

Mobile app branding

The shared Rosterra app shows your brand color and logo after a family signs in. The white-label app (separate App Store listing for your school) takes more setup. Contact the Rosterra team to start.

Why this matters

Schools that take 30 minutes to brand thoroughly see noticeably better signup conversion, fewer "is this real?" emails, and higher app installs from parents.
