Under Admin → Settings → Ranks & progression, build your ladder for each discipline (e.g. White → Yellow → …). Add your curriculum — the techniques and forms per discipline — so it shows on each student's page.

• Rank drives class eligibility and promotion automation.
• Starting fresh? Apply a content pack (karate, BJJ, gymnastics, music, …) to seed a ready-made ladder and curriculum, then tweak it.

Once your ladder exists, you can run tests and promote (see "Run a belt test and promote").
