QuickKicks

Leaving Spark Membership

Move from Spark Membership to QuickKicks in a weekend.

Spark Membership is a solid billing and CRM tool that's been adding martial-arts features over time. We move your members, memberships, ranks, and payment history for free, and you keep Spark running until you're ready to switch off.

Why schools leave Spark Membership

The patterns we hear from Spark Membership switchers

Every switch is its own story, but these come up enough that they're worth naming. If any of them sound like your Spark Membership setup, we've seen it before.

  • Belt and rank tracking is recent and basic. Eligibility is a manual status; instructors maintain it on the side.
  • The attendance app and kiosk feel like add-ons rather than the core. Owners report check-in friction at peak times.
  • Reporting answers billing questions well but martial-arts-specific questions (who's stalled, who's at risk of cancelling) less well.
  • Pricing climbs with active member count and add-on modules; line items add up.
  • Schools that grew on Spark for billing now want a product whose spine is the belt, not the invoice.

What comes across

Your school, recognizable on day one

We bring over the things that make your school yours, regardless of which Spark Membership fields they live in today.

Members and families

Every student and guardian, linked into family accounts, with contact details and notes intact.

Memberships and plans

Your membership types, prices, and billing cycles, recreated so your roster bills the way it did before.

Belt and rank history

Current rank and promotion history come across, so nobody restarts their journey on day one.

Payment history

Past invoices and payment records, so your reporting and a member's history don't begin from a blank slate.

Attendance history

Where your current software can export it, attendance history comes too. We confirm what's includable during prep.

Waivers and documents

Signed waivers and documents transfer where they're exportable. Anything that can't, we help you re-collect.

Getting the export from Spark Membership

The exact steps for Spark Membership

You don't have to figure out where Spark's export lives. Here's the path; we do the rest.

  1. 1

    Export members and family accounts

Members, then Export, then full CSV. Spark exports contact details, family links, and active memberships in one file.

  2. 2

    Export transactions

Reports, then Transactions, full date range. Export to CSV. Payment history per member comes across cleanly.

  3. 3

Send us both files plus your belt ladder

Email them in. Include a screenshot or note of your rank ladder per program. We do the rest.

Spark Membership-specific gotchas

The things we watch for on every switch

These don't break the migration. They just need a heads-up so nobody's surprised.

  • Belt history is shallow on most Spark accounts

Spark's belt tracking is recent. Most accounts only store current rank, not the full promotion history. We pull current rank for everyone and ask you to fill in promotion dates once for active students. Future promotions land in QuickKicks with full history.

  • Recurring billing recollects cards

Spark uses its own gateway; QuickKicks runs on Stripe Connect. For security, card details don't transfer between platforms. We send families a one-click link to re-add their card and watch your first billing cycle.

  • Automations re-build cleanly

Spark's automation rules (trial follow-up, missed-class, birthday) translate into QuickKicks journeys. We document yours from your Spark settings and re-create them before go-live so nothing drops mid-funnel.

  • Spark-built websites stay where they are

If your school's public site is built in Spark's site builder, it stays running on Spark. Or we'll show you how to point it at QuickKicks for lead intake and signup. Your call; we don't force a website change.

How the switch works

Three steps, and we do the heavy part

  1. 1

    Send us an export

From your current CRM. We handle the column mapping, whatever the headers are called. You don't reformat anything.

  2. 2

    We import and you review

Members, guardians, memberships, ranks, and payment history land in your QuickKicks account. You check it against your roster before anything goes live.

  3. 3

Go live with us on call

You pick the go-live date and keep your old system running until then. We're on call through your first full billing cycle so nothing slips.

FAQ

Switching from Spark Membership, answered

Active event funnels and challenges keep running on Spark until you're ready to migrate them. QuickKicks has its own events module and trial challenges; we rebuild the active ones before go-live so nothing breaks mid-campaign.
